Websites and Learning Platforms for Education Businesses

Education products have several journeys to get right: a prospective student finding a course, a learner using the platform, and staff managing content or records. ZeroBytes helps define those journeys and build the website or application each one needs.

Who it helps

  • Tuition centres and tutoring businesses.
  • Colleges and course providers.
  • Exam preparation and online learning products.

Four needs, usually mixed up

Most education projects are really two or three of these. Separating them is the first step to an honest quote.

Course information and inquiries

A public website: courses, fees, timetable, prospectus, and a way to book a consultation or assessment. This is a website project.

Learner accounts and practice

Logins, practice questions, mock exams, progress and recommendations. This is a web application.

Payments and subscriptions

Weekly, monthly or seasonal plans, or fees paid in instalments, tied to what the learner can access.

Staff administration

Enrolment, attendance, invoicing and the records staff keep. This is a staff portal.

How we deliver it

  • A content model first: one structure for courses, so twenty course pages stay consistent with each other.
  • User roles named up front: learner, parent, tutor, administrator, and what each may see.
  • Student records are access-controlled by role, and the data stays in your account.
  • Launch checks, staff training and a handover, so your team runs it.
  • Every project includes 60 days of free fixes after launch. A fix is anything that does not work the way the written scope says it should. New features and changes to the agreed scope are quoted separately, and after the 60 days you can carry on with an optional monthly care plan or take everything over yourself.

What to prepare

  • Who your learners and staff are.
  • The courses or content you have now, and how it is organised.
  • How people pay today.
  • The one part of the current journey that causes the most trouble. That is usually the first release.

Tell us about your learners

Tell us who your learners and staff are, what they need to do, and which part of the current journey is hardest to manage. We will help scope the website or platform around that need.
